DESCRIPTION:Harvard alums in CXO roles return to campus to share how they l
aunched their research out from Harvard labs and into the market. \n\n \n\
 nLeif Jentoft\, PhD is a co-founder of RightHand Robotics\, a company that
provides hardware and software solutions for automating order-picking in
logistics. Most recently\, he became the Chief Product Officer for Guardia
n Agriculture - which has developed the first-ever integrated eVTOL (elect
ric vertical takeoff and landing) system for precision application\, exten
ding growers' reach\, reducing environmental impact\, and minimizing produ
ct resistance. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Harvard Unive
rsity and a B.S. from Olin College. Jentoft’s research at the Harvard Bi
orobotics Laboratory focused on developing technology to solve real-world
problems\, particularly in the field of grasping. He and his colleagues de
signed an underactuated robotic hand that uses a single motor for several
flexible joints and soft fingertips to mimic the biomechanics of a human h
and. The device won the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Robotics Challenge\, which inspired Jentoft to commercialize the technolog
 y. RightHand Robotics offers end-to-end solutions that retrofit adaptable
hardware and software to existing warehouse workflows to improve efficienc
 y. Their products are used in over 15 countries in a variety of applicatio
ns.\n\n \n\nDr. Yudong Cao is an accomplished technology leader and the He
ad of Quantum at BCG X\, where he drives innovative solutions at the heart
of quantum computing. With over a decade of experience\, Dr. Cao has a pr
oven track record in developing advanced quantum algorithms and applicatio
ns across various industries\, including national security and pharmaceuti
cals. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University and has
held prominent positions\, including Chief Technology Officer at Zapata AI
. Recognized for his contributions to the field\, he was named to the Bost
 on Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list in 2024. \n\n \n\nPlease RSVP and
be sure to have your Harvard ID with you for event entry.
