Latanya Sweeney, Professor of the Practice of Government and Technology and founder of the Data Privacy Lab at Harvard, will kick off both ComputeFest and IQSS DataFest 2021 with a keynote address on a COVID-19 contact tracing app.

About ComputeFest: Organized by the Harvard Institute for Applied Computational Science (IACS) and open to the public, ComputeFest is four days of advanced applied deep learning workshops led by IACS researchers, students, alumni, and industry presenters. Workshops are directed by IACS Lecturer and Scientific Director, Pavlos Protopapas.
About DataFest: Organized by the Institute of Quantitative Social Science and free to Harvard affiliates, this bootcamp will provide support to participants as they develop their own research project focusing on COVID-19. Each day will cover key parts of the research data lifecycle (data acquisition, cleaning, visualization, analysis, and dissemination) and highlight best practices.
